SPQR Blues: Blues part XXXXII

In the first week of September of his first year as emperor, Titus issued a new denarius, a small silver coin that was a very commonly used denomination. It would have circulated quickly through the major commercial centers of Italy. Wikipedia, that source of all truthiness, tells me that one denarius was the daily wage for an unskilled worker or common soldier.
Artist news: I'm still recovering and dragging around (yes, I know, it's been two weeks). Plus I somehow managed to tear a calf muscle, which is better than what I though I had, which is I thought I had those long wormy things people get in their legs, because I'm always afraid I'll get those long wormy things.
